About
Hello fellow gothlings, welcome to my website! I’m the owner of Dames of York.
The concept of Dames of York stemmed from a few things colliding in my life. First, I love the idea of preloved fashion and the environmental aspect of reusing perfectly good clothing.
Second, I’m a corporate goth by day and a goth princess by night, and I know how difficult it can be to dedicate the time it takes to find alternative items that you really love in one place.
Lastly, I have a background in both fashion and retail and am passionate about both. I love helping people find an item they really love that makes them confident, bringing a spring to their step and a sparkle to their eye.
That’s where Dames of York comes in. Let us do the work of finding fun gothic fashions for you!
I take all of my own pictures as well as providing measurements to give you the information you need to see if it's the right item for you. If anything is unclear, please reach out to info@damesofyork.com and I can provide additional measurements for you. I believe in being inclusive and try to source a wide range of sizes.
If you don’t see anything for you on this visit, no problem! We add new items on the 13th of every month, so make sure you follow DamesofYorkShop on Instagram or Facebook and subscribe to our emails to get the sneak peaks and stay up to date.

from 4 reviewsSO grateful to have found a top of great quality that looks amazing on me. Super-sturdy lace sleeves and great body fabric... I can wear this anywhere, and will!
This dress is MAGIC. Perfect length, great quality, and makes me look younger, thinner, and sexier than I ever thought possible, without shapewear or a corset. MAGIC, I tell ya!
I am so happy to have found a dress that I can wear just about anywhere and feel like a princess with all that SWOOSH in the skirt! And amazed how great it looks even on someone as short as me. Love it!
Such a lovely dress. The lace is very delicate and sturdy - so hard to find! And it flares out perfectly. My sister has already asked if she could borrow it!
