Demonia shoes

It’s no secret that Demonia Cult is one of my favourite places to shop for footwear. With embellishments like buckles, zippers and studs, how could a goth girl resist? And that is why, my boils and ghouls, I decided to treat myself after achieving becoming professionally designated.

Now, I usually have a hard time buying footwear online, but with the pandemic I thought it would be best this time. I have big calves (17.5 inches/44.45 cm around) and wide feet (4 inches/10.16 cm across while standing), which can make knee-high boots and flats hard to find. Here I will be sharing what I bought and how it fits so if you have similar difficulties hopefully this helps.

Demonia Cult Size and Fit

About a decade ago I bought a pair of Demonia’s Defiant-400 boots (size 8) from Borderline Plus. I’ve obviously loved these boots (seen in the picture to the right) and wore them everywhere. I wore them so much that the zippers were starting to stick and the material was peeling off. I really needed a new pair, and in classic Danny fashion, I wanted the exact same pair.

Unfortunately, every time I checked Demonia’s website over the course of a few months they didn’t have my size. My solution was buying almost the exact same boot, so I went with the Bolt-400 (size 8). And lo and behold they fit almost exactly the same! Hazzah! The only difference that I can tell so far is that their a little narrower, but not so narrow that my wide feet get uncomfortable. I will provide updates as I wear these bad boys in!

Demonia Flats

While I was snooping around the Demonia website I thought, why not take a little gander at their flats? I need shoes for work (corporate setting), and some cute but work appropriate shoes would be lovely this spring. As soon as I saw the Star-21 shoes I was obsessed. Anything with spikes (that I won’t injure myself on) and I’m in!

When they arrived however they were a bit too small (in the width, but mostly in the length – my feet are 10 inches and 9.5 inches long). I bought a size 9 which is my usual size in flats and they’re too tight for my feet. They were sold out of the next size up which was very disappointing. If I do find them in a size 10 I will absolutely grab them because they’re too cute to pass up.

Last but certainly not least; the Drac-07 flats! These I was less in love with as the Star flats when I was looking on the website, but they were cute enough that I decided to try them. I’m glad I did because they fit perfectly and they go really well with my Sourpuss dress with the studded collar.

All in all it was a good purchase from Demonia, even if one of the pairs didn’t fit.
